MAADgis

MAADgis™, is a complete enterprise or single user solution that provides the tools to easily search and access your GIS data and documents, along with associated metadata in a MapInfo GIS environment.
Additional functionality is provided to create high quality scaled map outputs with legends and grids, plus access industry driven extra modules to enhance your GIS experience.
Along with a secure administration module and detailed on-line help, MAADgis gives you the functionality you need to turn the occasional user of your GIS into a regular power user.
Further details can be found on the MAADgis website here.
BENEFITS
- Proven enterprise and company-wide solution Interfaces into a File Server environment, Oracle Spatial, SQL Server with Spatialware, or any ODBC compatiable point database environment.
- Provides RAPID Access to ALL company wide GIS and textual data – faster access mean quicker decisions
- EASILY Configured to your previous GIS structure or system, no system downtime during configuration

- Cost EFFECTIVE Solution
- CONTINUALLY Updated and Advanced with client requests.
Spatial Search
This component is the core of the MAADgis software.
It enables the user to search GIS catalogue(s) for specific data within the geographic bounds submitted, and display within the MapInfo map window.
Searches can be either:
- Spatial search by geographic window or
- Keyword search by geographic window and input text
MAADgis can be used to access documents and other files that may reside on a directory, that relate to a spatial reference. These files can be added to and displayed in a catalogue along with TAB files simultaneously.
The files that can currently be linked are .doc, .xls, .ppt, .mdb, .pdf, .zip, .txt, .wk1, .wks, .wk3, .wk4, .htm, .html, plus image files of the format .png, .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .bmp.
Additional metadata files with the file names that include the words of 'metadata' and 'readme' can be associated with GIS layers. These files need to be located within the same directory as the GIS layer file. This function is accessible via a layer's associated metadata icon from within the Spatial Search Results dialogue box.
Metadata can also be added to the catalogue databases during the cataloguing process.
Map Production
Functionality provided enables the GIS User to generate scaled maps and plans quickly and easily through a common interface. Additional functionality enables the user to add scalebars, titles, and map production information to the resulting MapInfo layout.
- Dynamic scaled map generator.
- Legend generator.
- Dynamic grid generator.
Administration
MAADgis is fully configured and maintained through a secure administration system, that allows varying levels of access and change permissions throughout the system.
- Administration access methods;
- Windows authentication
- Username and password
